Gelatin Gummy Snacks

I have the fondest memories making jelly with my mum. All the bright colourful packets and the anticipation for it to set used to kill me. However those instant packets were loaded with sugar (or artificial sweeteners) food colouring and additives… Little did i know gelatin is actually a health food. Galatin can be made into bite size gummy snacks… let me show you how in this video below.

Let me just give you the 101 on why gelatin is a health food. Your gut lining is only one cell thick… the skin on our face and body is actually 5 layers thick. Meaning our gut lining is very sensitive to damage and gelatin helps to repair your gut lining from the inside out. Gelatin is derived from collagen which provides the building blocks for healthy skin. It also has added benefits of being high in protein, amino acids (which help your body break down and assimilate the protein) and zero sugar. Ideally you want to get it from the very best source to get the very best results, that means be careful which brand you buy and you want to use gelatin from grass fed cows or pasture raised cows. It will usually say on the packaging.

I love making it into healthy snacks that are low carb, high protein and good for my gut so i wanted to share it with you!!
