Chia pudding.

You see chia pudding everywhere these days… its frequently on a breakfast menu at the trendiest new cafe hot spots or for takeaway at most cafe’s. But its expensive and I just cant justify paying the prices inflicted on “health food”. Its so cheap and easy to make at home… not to mention chia seeds are amazing for you!

Packed full of omega 3 oils and protein these are a meal that will fill you up and keep your skin glowing. They are also packed full of both insoluble and soluble fiber so act as a prebiotic (food) for your gut bugs and also help to keep you regular, if you know what I mean. CHIA SEED PUDDING

  • 1 cup almond milk, coconut milk or if you drink dairy you can use regular cows milk.
  • 2 Tbs chia seeds.
  • 1 jar + the lid

METHOD

/ Add all ingredients to the jar, lid on and shake for approx 1 min or so, just so the chia seeds start to take up some of the liquid and don’t stick together.

/ Leave in the fridge for approx 10-15mins and shake occasionally, so the seeds don’t settle on the bottom.

/ Chia seeds will soak up all the liquid provided so you don’t have to stick to the measurements given above. If you want it runny then you can add more liquid or thicker add less… it is entirely up to you.

/ Enjoy your pudding by topping it with fruit, nuts, seeds, granola… left over smoothies… anything that takes your fancy.

Enjoy!!!
