Strawberry Kefir Bowl

Smoothie bowls are so last year… Kefir bowls will take over instagram this year. Gut health is my number one priority (if you cant already tell) and finding ways to incorporate fermented foods into my diet are a must.

Strawberries are packed with antioxidants, vitamin C and phytochemicals that help protect against ageing, help assist immune function, good source of fiber and antioxidants help keep cells healthy. Strawberries also taste amazing! You can sub for any berries, raspberries are also amazing in this.

SERVES 2

/ 1 Cup Milk Kefir

/ 1 – 2 Frozen bananas

/ 1/4 Avocado

/ Small zest of lemon rind (or squeeze of fresh lemon juice)

/ 2″ slice of zucchini (or cucumber)

M E T H O D: Blend in high speed blender.

N O T E: If you don’t have frozen berries or frozen banana’s add some ice to cool the bowl, you can also add any sweeteners for flavour OR any extra veggies to boost veg + fiber intake.
