15 Mar Gut healthy salad dressings
Im a salad lover and when i think of healthy food i think… salad! But a lot of store bought salad dressings are not actually healthy and some made in restaurants contain gut un-friendly vegetable oils. So making your own salad dressings might be the only options for you if you cant find any good store bought. I have tried finding healthy store bought dressings and its near on impossible.
When you are eating a gut healthy diet its easy to eliminate items that might damage your gut or might not promote healing (like added sugar, preservatives, vegetable oils, dairy, egg powder etc) but you also have to replace them with options too, not just deprive yourself of the joy of eating… these are very tasty, healthy and zesty dressings.
Enjoy with a salad, enjoy with some warm meat or as a dipping sauce for some meat,
Creamy Avo + Coriander Dressing
Ingredients
- 2 tbs avocado
- 2 tbs lime juice
- 1 cup chopped fresh coriander
- 1 tbs olive oil
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a small blender (food processor, hand mixer etc) and blend until smooth.
Lemon Dijon Dressing
Ingredients
- 2 tbs Dijon Mustard
- 2 tbs Olive Oil
- 2 tbs Lemon Juice
- Cracked Black Pepper optional extra
- Dried Dill optional extra
Instructions
- add all ingredients to a small bowl and use a whisk to mix all ingredients to a smooth consistency.
